This thread will contain all the explanations of all the accidents that took place in the forum like Warning, Ban etc. It's created so that we can make ourselves ready and prepared so that accidents doesn't happen.

Since members skips reading some posts (that happens generally, so it's ok), here are the explanations of the incidents that were going on in the forum.

Any Ranked User will get warning if he/she breaks Forum Rules. If it's done more than once then the result will be Ban.

The user got ban not because of debating but for insulting members more than once. Now, even if we (BD anime fans) are few numbered, insulting is one of the things that will no be tolerated.

Do not confused with these two as they are totally different.

He once apologized for his post and it was accepted. The he went off doing that again. He was banned then.

If you've read all of his posts, then you'll notice he's saying same thing all over again. not understanding what we are saying. We've said if you're not interested then you don't have to share. And if you want to sell then go to shops.


This sentence alone will make anyone get banned in any popular anime forum. You can try it if you like.

He has been given a chance to prove himself and post here as Guest. It's his choice if he wants to lift the ban or not.

Owing to the fact that we're a very small community, a banning is a pretty serious issue. I think it would be good to take a good look at the situation and get feedback from members, who should be free to voice their opinions. In turn those opinions should be written politely. There will be zero tolerance for any swearing or any belittling terms (including Wasio's uncalled use of the word "jerk").

We need to sit back and discuss this situation because it's a first for us a forum. Particularly, this may help us modify the rules as well as clarify codes of conduct, because I'd rather we not ban people in general.

This thread is open for discussion of this matter and I remind everyone again: be polite and civil. It goes a long way.

Firstly, you've made valid points and we would like to hear those out, definitely. That was the reason behind my post asking to move this discussion into the Staff Lounge—normal members to this site shouldn't need to see all this until the right time. I personally think the banning was a hasty decision and that's why I'm pushing for more discussion.

Secondly, while I'm glad that you haven't used any stronger terms, I would like recommend that you refrain from lashing out. There's no reason for *anyone* to stoop to name-calling. I'm trying to think of a solution to this but your actions make it more difficult that it needs to be.

Thirdly, Wasio is under a warning as far as I know and any other breach will clearly lead to his banning as well. I believe it would be appropriate to discuss his conduct as well as his behaviour does not reflect that of his Moderator status.

@Deep2504/xCross: Dude one more thing—do you completely stand by the reasoning you gave the DBZ example? I mean, I understand and agree with some of your arguments but that one... I can't really understand. No, I understand what you said but I can't fathom your reasoning.

That's one of the few things that probably annoyed a few people more than anything else.

Just gotta a coupla questions:

I'd like you to answer those honestly and just think if they justify your reasoning. In my opinion, I found it arrogant and particularly when there's a lot of others going about the sharing duties with the bare essentials (i.e. cost of DVDs at most), I can't see any reason why you need to mention it here. Sure, sell your DBZ dvds to others, but once again, it was an extremely bad idea to bring it up here.

Now besides that, around Page 3, you are sincerely apologising and in particular, you *do* mention that once you've read through your old posts you too feel that it was insulting. Now thats really good, that you could see it. In general, you were a bit more pleasant with the shorter responses.

Then again on Page 4 (2nd post) you seem to be lashing out with some rather poor reasoning for your arguments. I take it these were mostly out of anger.

By taking a look back, the issue of Wasio's edited post crops up. Since I haven't seen the original content, I take it based on the warning issued that the material was of the extremely unpleasant variety and we are definitely, definitely studying the matter more closely.

the first reason this ban is pathetic: xCross never sold any anime. he was merely pointing out his views.
and even if he sold/starts to sell anime, he is not using your site as a promotional ground.

second reason: xCross insulted you? fine, warn him. then ban him if he continues.
but when you insult him back (albeit, in an insinuative way), you lose the ground (not the power)
to warn him let alone ban.

If so, there's some poor wording there, old chap. There's nothing wrong with pointing out views, but here's the deal with the Internet: you can say all you want about "having your own opinions", but the best way of getting those through is by considering where these opinions have a chance of being insulting, or atleast, not particularly well-formed. Like I said, he is free, in every possible way, to sell his anime. Just not here, not to our members. If they decide to contact him against their better judgement, they can. Until then, we'd like to keep the place civil and avoid issues of money. Please try to understand that.



Thanks for the answers. Personally, I can't find any justifications for bringing these costs into anime dealings in general. However, I'm not going to pass judgement on this, provided he keeps this issue outside of MazeCity and away from members. That's the point.

One question though: if costs are such an issue, why not ask people to pay his parents directly? I mean personally, I'd rather do that and pay for my own DVDs, if I ever had to get HD anime off xCross.

Just a word of friendly advice as well: Enduring people saying things about you is a part of life.

I'm going to say this clearly: I'm trying my best to give everyone a fair judgement regarding this situation. I know that shinobi21 has made some "insinuating" posts and I've spoken to him about it as well.

At the same time, we're reviewing xCross's situation as well and understand that he has made some mistakes. Similarly, we're considering Wasio's involvement in this. There should be a decision very soon and I beg everyone to remain calm, collected and civil.

I do not think he ever contacted anyone here (or elsewhere) to sell anime.
so in the end, he was just voicing out his opinion. if that's against
board rules, you should have just warned (and/or closed the thread)
saying, "discussion relating to selling anime are prohibited here".


Well, i'm sure if he didn't download so much anime, he'd go with a 300-500tk net
and avoid such things from his parents.

on the other hand, if i know him properly, if he ever makes any money by selling anime,
the first thing he'll do is to pay the net bill by that money.
and the second thing he'll do (provided he gets that much) is to get a
~mbps net so that he can download more anime.

I'm not sure what the next thing he'll do. but i think he'll
try to buy original anime and encode them himself (at least, that's his dream).

anyways, i'm not here to advocate for/against sellling anime.
Just voicing my opinion as I can see an unjust ban
in a place i used to be regular (albeit, not for a long time)
and the banned one happens to be someone close to me.
