Okay here's the thing.....I've been planning this for almost 2 and a half years now. The thing is, see those channels on your dish line where dish people show dvd movies using a computer??(the local movie channels to be exact). So if we could arrange some sort of deal with these local dish people to make arrangements for us to air fansub anime like the process they use to show movies on the channel. It would be great!!! wouldnt it? So what you say guys.... anybody wanna find out some info about this please....would be a great plesure for all of us anime fans in BD....remember this could be a giant leap for all of us at mazecity as well as anime fans in BD... Special mention to the Administrators*This could bring huge exposure to mazecity as a whole so think about it guys. And please oh please....keep this post active with your messages and thoughts( i meant everyone here).....i do want to know all of your views. Any comment is accepted.

Yeah, I think it's a really good idea. And it would definitely give Mazecity the exposure it needs. But the problem is , these dish services are area based. So, you can't instantly spread anime throughout the country this way. And, if we choose an area where almost all the anime fans already have their share of animes and are capable of collecting from internet, then that will be a bummer. Also the anime fans outside Dhaka won't get any benefit out of this.
Don't feel down. I'm just pointing out some problem I see from my point of view. But I definitely believe if executed properly, this plan can profit many anime fans over the country. Although this would need a lot of effort and money I guess.

hmm..I have also thought about it some years ago. Its possible to make a deal with the local cable providers, but like Kira said, it'd cost a handsome amount of money; unless you have a connections. The reason is its just isn't profitable for them. Also area is a big factor. If I put this channel up in our area, I doubt it'll be any good. What we can do, select some areas where a lot of people watch/ interested in anime, and then talk with the cable operators for allotting a time slot for anime. Its also necessary that a member'd have to have connections with them, cause money is a huge factor for all of us. And theres also another big factor: Animax, those areas'd have animax and since they are very popular... theres less hope for us.

They'd get bored as hell doing that after a while, and then I'd be through with having conversations for the rest of my life.

Animax is available in only few areas...For xample mine, black nd white...lolz. So there would be the demand for an anime channel. It really is a good idea.

We can provide them with the necessary animes for them to air but I doubt they would be too eager to do it, they might even be charging the subscribers for the extra channel, which the latter might be too reluctant to pay. So, if the cable operators are convinced that there is enough demand in their area then this will be possible.

animax is in one word BOGUS.....the dubs are pretty lame.....everyone i know hates animax(Shinobi bhai for example) so there's a possibiliy that our channel might flourish.....firstly we have to take a survey on the population density of kids and anime fans in major areas, then lets say someone in this area has major connections....we could use that person...and OH MY GOD....tihs post is growing....awesome....keep posting your thoughts and i know we may come to a solution in the near future

I just don't have the time to watch it on a schedule basis and also there's The Electricity Factor Sorry, It's not that I'm ignoring this thread, but I've got something to do. I'll post here as soon as it's finished and post my thoughts here.

Hi, my name's Le Chupacabra and I endorse dubs!
Kinda.
Animax's own dubs are very decent, a little grating, but a solid effort overall. Companies spend a lot more money behind dubbing these days so I actually don't mind watching dubbed anime at all. Subs are always around, but dubs just make the viewing process a lot easier.
I'm assuming the whole "hating-dubs" thing is like an early stage of anime watching, eh?
And Animax is pretty sweet. I mean a 24/7 channel with a decent amount of variety is hard to rag against. Not to mention how they show some really good stuff and are following through with the whole "simulcast" thaaang. It's quality TV.

oh, I forgot animes are Japanese T_____T so then again, subbed animes wont attract many viewers.. average Bangladeshi puts off subbed anime as Chinese cartoons but when the same thing is Dubbed in English and aired in CN they go mad over it, i.e. Naruto (It happened with 2 of my school friends, they are watching it now on CN and dling 'english' shippuden >_>)

Although the Shippuuden dub is kinda grating. The Bleach dub is DEEEVIIIINE though. I've just started watching from the beginning. I absolutely love the dub.

hey this is actually a good idea. Even if your channel covers a small area, just think how many fans it'll create. Oi specific arear lokjoner kach theke onno arear lokjon jante parbe and tarao anime e utshahi hobe. AMar onek friend nijera nijera anime share kore otaku hoise, Animax othoba net theke download kore na.
So if you have the ability to open a channel, do it.
