Kira originally came up with this idea, so guys how about having our very own Manga Scantlation group... I mean we don't have to overkill like Franky House or Binktopia perhaps we can just make scantlation of few chapters to start off. Since, there is no Existing Japanese to Bangla Scantlation group, we will be the first one of the kind.


To form a Scantlation Group we need the following people
Raw Provider- We don't really exactly need that as we can always get the raws off the net (or existing scantlation group if we choose to edit them instead).
Cleaner - Someone who will clean out (remove jap text and edit sfx) the images in photoshop.
Translater - Someone who will translate from Jap (RAW) to Bengali, or eng to bengali if we are scantlating from a manga which has been already scantlated into english.
Bengali Typesetter - The one who maintains the font and enters the text and knows how to type in Bengali.
Quality Checker - Quality checkers or proof readers are the ones who checks if the the scantlation is ready for the public eye.

Not only we can boast ourselves for having a very own scantlation group but we can also proudly state that BD now has a scantlation group, It may also help Bangladesh to be recognized in the international manga/scantlation world.
So what do think, please share your view with us.

As this idea was originally my I feel a bit proud *ahem ahem* and feel a bit nervous also. Guys please provide us with positive feedback. First off we need to know how many of you support this idea and are ready to contribute. Then we can decide other necessary things.

I think we can start off with translating some old chapters from english to bangla. After that if we get positive feedback from Bengali fans , then we can further with the plan to translate latest chapters released in Japanese to Bangla. That way our workload might increase(more chapters to translate) but won't have the pressure of releasing the chapter within a deadline to meet the the fan's demand.

Now I got this idea from Pranta. We can also try to translate the already translated manga into bengali gag manga.
How is that, you say? We replace the english dialogues with quirky and funny bengali dialogues produced by our creative mind

Imagine Luffy shouting like : "Oi tora ke koi asosh!! Deikha ja!! Nami khala bebak tia fuisa free te dia ditase!!!"

rofl Iam ready to contribute was a cleaner, though I dont know photoshop much, Shuvra once said he received cleaning training from Binktopia... or was it some other group. I can also help our as the quality checker

What will be hard to get is the Jap translater and the Bengali Typesetter.

I'm also willing to take the post of quality checker (the more the merrier, right ). And I can help with the English to Bengali translation (maybe from Japanese to Bengali in future, after I learn that from LP).

So, I apply for the job of Translator and Quality checker. But, nobody has yet said anything yet There's no response from Shinobi vai either (maybe he's busy, hope to get his insight on this soon).

Yup, not many response, so we have to decide, are we really going through with this?

I agree with the more the merrier part, if there are multiple people in one post, the work load will automatically decrease and the process will be faster.

The forum has not been really that active recently (except for the Spamming section, it's thriving with posts ). So, we can't expect much response this quickly. Also many of the already registered old members are missing in action (like khalahaley,oni. khala who was a Japanese specialist!!). That's why we need some new recruit as well. We can't start this big scale project with only two or three members!! At least 10-12 members are needed in my opinion.

Nice idea.. although I don't know how I can help since I'm not good with photoshop when coming to this.

Vaia, can't you take the post of Typesitter. And we are not practically looking for any pro in photoshop. Even a little experience would do. The main factor is do we have enough support to start a large scale project like this. Maybe we can get help from some of our friend on this, but first we'll need the help of the member of this site

About the gag manga : It would be better if we can change the whole theme. It'd serve the purpose of being a gag. But taking the main theme and taking it into a whole new direction won't be bad either.

I can't write Bengali in PC.. so typesetting wont suit me.. I can do colorings

I don't think the job of a manager is that easy. The manager is the one who will co-ordinate with the people in different posts to see the job is completed properly. And also I think the recruiting in different posts is also the duty of the Manager. So, Shinobi vai, if you agree (it seems that you are interested ) then please start a survey among the other members by sending them a PM to know how many of them are willing for the scantalation group to commence it's operation. (As, it seems only the three of us are visiting and posting in this thread T.T). After that start recruiting staffs required to get the job done. Maybe we can kick start the project from next month if everyone agrees and is willing to help.

I've got some good news guys!!! I found a typesetter!!! And he's one of my junior mess mate. So, it's going to be very convenient for us. I'll provide the translation and he'll type them. This way it's gonna be really quick!! Shontrix already agreed to be the Cleaner. So, all the required member of the pirate crew (sorry, effect of watching too many One Piece:P)... I mean the required member of the Manga Scantalation Group are gathered (I'll tell the typesetter guy to join the forum before our exam starts.).

Now, Shon we need to start talking about serious matters. If you agree to go on with this then we need to select which manga we are gonna translate and how will we translate them (I mean a word to word translation will be boring, and many of the jokes in this mangas refer to japanese culture. So, what style of translation we are gonna use, that is also to be determined.). And also are we gonna start from the starting chapter of that manga or from a random middle chapter??

If we wanna catch fandom then we need to translate those manga which are really popular and followed by Bengali anime/manga fans regularly. The definite answers are the overly popular trio One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. Now the thing is which one do we choose?? Will we make a poll and ask the members of the forum? (though I'm not sure if they'll join. They are more keen to participate in the Spam section )

And there's also the very important factor of determining the name of the group. We can't just go with the "Mazecity manga scantalation" kilometer sized group name!! Something like Binktopia or Franky House or Red Hawk will make us look cool and interesting to the mass. Use your creative brains guys (I've used up all my creativeness for today by writing this mile sized post ). Can't think of anymore needed initials now. If shon comes up with any additional things needed to initialize manga scantalation then add it here. I leave the rest up to you guys now.

How about starting with a completed manga like Death Note. I think it's pretty popular in BD.

Hmm... maybe. But I think Bleach and Naruto are more popular. And I think the mass will like something with action. But as they are already following the english translation, they might not wanna switch to bangla translation which they are not much sure about. So, we again are forced to translate something which is already complete. If we can prove our worth in that translation then we might take up ongoing series like One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. So, I agree on Shinobi's decision to translate an already complete manga. Let's wait for shon's view then.

And in the meanwhile we think about the name of the Manga scantalation group too.
