Its definately ok, to have more than 2 people in one position, like I said, they work would be divided and the pressure/load will be reduced and the process would also be faster that way. So you are definitely in light apu

I also agree with translating complete/short manga, since we are/would be new.

btw, I was thinking of starting off with One Piece (first or first few chaps ofc) since everyone who posted in this topic is a big fan of One Piece, they/we will be more motivated to work on it. Also, we can put OP in a different position, by making that the first bangla scanlated manga or the first manga we worked on So, what do you say, it was just my opinion.

Whoo!! I'm gradually becoming slow to response (all because of this damn final exams.). Anyway, I'll start with the naming first :

The Hawks - (There is already a Red Hawks scantalation group. So, this one's no good.)
Falcon - (A synonym of the Hawk, similar theme)
The Uchiha (I hate Uchiha Sasuke, so I strongly oppose this )
Supernova - (This one is by far the best, if we can't come up with anything better than this then I suggest we keep this name. I think this should be the temporary name of the group)
Blood Knights (More of a gamer group name than a manga scantalation group name IMO)
Emerald Angels (Same theme as the above name suggested)

Now for the credit page, yes we need one to claim our just respect. So, who's up for designing the credit page?? Shinobi vai??? Maybe Lady Poison?? Anyone with a little experience in Photoshop and a love for artsy and creative stuff will do.

Now for translating manga. It seems almost all of us One Piece fan agree to start with One Piece. If that is the case then I suggest we first do three chapters and release to see what's the reaction. If we get good vibe from the fans then we'd go for whole volume translating. As already they are translated, I don't think it would be a good idea to release them chapter by chapter weekly. We just finish a volume and then release it wholly. What do you guys think.

And now for the staff list :

Raw Provider : In this case it should be english translated manga provider actually . Now, let's decide from which groups scantalation are we gonna translate. I think Binktopia is the best for HQ and Good scantaled manga source.

Cleaner : Shontrix, Lightrain

Translator : Kira (I'm the lone wolf here T.T)

Bangla Typesetter : Lightrain, Sojol (the one I was talking about)

Quality Checker : Shontrix, Kira

So, we've got our starting lineup. Shinobi vai is going to be the manager and guardian angel of our tiny scantalation group. And I hope we are ready to go.

After this we need to discuss about how are we gonna translate this. Should the attack names be translated or left untranslated with a footnote to point out the meaning. Many more things like this needs to be discussed. And also someone needs to collect High quality scan for the series from the start.

Iam not sure about the attack names, I will leave you guys to arrive at the conclusion. I never liked the english Gum Gum Pistol and Gomu Gomu no Pistol sounds kinda weird in bengali, but whatever you guys decide, I will comply. Also, its not my job, its the translators and the manager, Iam just the cleaner and probably checker if needed

If anyone can come up with some other name, plz feel free to suggest us.

Good job with the cleaning there!! Now about co-ordinating the job, let's open a thread maybe a seperate section for manga scantalating group. There we'll keep the discussions and resource required private. And let's contact each other via Instant messenger for the moment. We are not running on a tight schedule, so we don't need to contact each other by mobile phones. If we keep our works in the destined forum/thread then it won't be difficult for the other members to commence their duty. Let's describe the chronology of the work. First all the members need to have a copy of the chapters that's going to be translated. So, someone(RAW provider mainly) downloads it and uploads it in the thread. Then the cleaner cleans all the pages and uploads the cleaned version of the chapter in the thread. In the mean time the translator will give a complete translation of the script. Then after seeing the translation and understanding it fully from the translator the typesetter will set the needed dialogues and font. Then upload the translated version in the forum. Finally the quality checker will check for errors and tweak it to make it publicly visible. Then the final product will be released for the fans.

Sounds like a great idea, we can open a Manga Scantlation Group section, like you said, which will be visible only to the group members who will be working behind the scenes. We share our resources there (example raw, font, translation script, cleaned images etc) and divide our works. You have already laid out the whole process from top to bottom on how the work will flow from the raw providers to the quality checkers and eventually to the finished product. So all that is left is just creating the separate section and finding the raws, we can work on the credit page and the name on the background.

You will have to tell shinobi bhai about the new section, he is after all the coordinator cum manager.

Although I already mentioned this in a thread of the scantalation group, as this is a suggestion, I'm posting this here as well. As we are starting fresh why don't we debut with a "DOOONNN"!!! I was suggesting of doing a full colored scantalation chapter 1. So, what do you guys say!! We have a very talented guy who can do amazing coloring to help us (no, tel mara mari Shinobi vai, this are true compliments.) out. As it's a big chapter of 51, I guess it'd take a lot of time(it'd put a lot of pressure on Shinobi vai), so why not we get more people to do the coloring? If you guys know anyone then invite them to join the party!!

Translating One Piece at first chance is not quite right from my point of view .... there are some few reasons

- It contains too much talks so its difficult to translate those and just put the words in bengali in such small place .
- Its a huge series and still airing so it will be difficult to deal with the whole series ...

I think you guys should do something less difficult ... like a series which has less talks and more clean drawing and not much bigger. ^ ^
