I won't lie to you.
The first time I saw Gurren Lagann I disregarded it as a serious anime completely and thought of it as a weird parody of the mecha genre.
However, once I watched the whole series, I learned just how much 'awesomeness' a show can contain.
Entertainment to the maximum. Power to the maximum. Craziness to the maximum.
That is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
