Part of My Life

Hello there everyone! My name is Tanvir Hossain. You probably know me as Tanvir Sharingan or Tanvir Itachi Sharingan in MazeCity. I have been working as a staff member in MazeCity since 2012. I have been an anime fan since as long as I can remember. Some of my first anime were Jungle Book: Shounen Mowgli, Ninja Robot Tobikage (Ninja Senshi Tobikage), Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan) on BTV, etc. During those days, I did not really understand the difference between anime and cartoon. It was only later that I discovered that anime and cartoons are quite different. I also liked watching Toonami on Cartoon Network. Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Digimon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Beyblade (Bakuten Shoot Beyblade), Duel Masters– these were the anime that I used to watch. Then came Animax and I was swept over! I really started taking anime seriously when I was studying for HSC. I used to collect anime DVDs from places like Rapa Plaza and Metro Shopping Mall along with my buddy Shafin Haque. After I finished HSC and got into a university, I found some Facebook anime groups, again thanks to Shafin. There was only a handful of them. I attended to my first MazeCity meeting in October 2011. I was so happy to see countless people who share the same love and devotion for anime like me. I was overjoyed! Soon after that it was the time for MazeCon Bangladesh 2011. I could not believe that we were going to have an anime convention here in our country. MazeCon was the first ever fan convention of its kind in Bangladesh. It was one of the most memorable days of my life. I was so amazed on the rapport between the people working on that event. It was truly magical! I really felt at home. I met the founders, staff; everyone was so friendly. I started helping out in whatever way I could. I was made an official staff soon after. I was also made an admin of the Facebook group and page. It was an honor. Like anime, MazeCity has become a huge part of my life. It is now my second family. We will always be working hard so that we can make our community even bigger!
